Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic

INTRODUCTION
The coronavirus causes illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS), according to the WHO.

 HISTORICAL AND POLITICAL FACTS
The Novel Corona virus was first found in the city of Wuhan in china on 31st December 2019.According to some research’s, it came from bats and snakes, since they were consumed at large scale in china.   According to BBC News, there has also been such a strange incident that the Chinese authorities stopped a doctor from spreading the news of the virus even after finding it dangerous. According to BBC News, His name was Li Wenliang . He himself died of COVID-19(CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 2019). This is really absurd and inexplicable why they did so.

PRESENT SCENARIO
Every nation is worried about its affect over them. It is spread through touch and exposed saliva but some rumours state that it is air-borne. This virus then reaches the respiratory system and damages it, which further leads to death. As of on  23 March 2020 , there are total 338,724 cases internationally out of which 99,003 have recovered and 14,687 have died(www.wordometers.info). They circulate in animals and some can be transmitted between animals and humans.
Though the death rate is quite low, but the main trouble is that proper medication has not been made for sure till now. It has also finished economy of countries as schools, offices, public places, various industries etc. are closed. It is a big problem for those nations whose GDP is already low and cannot afford a shut down for emergency and welfare of the citizens.

CORONA IN INDIA
Our respectable Prime minister also declared 22 march as “Janata Curfew” to overcome rapid spread of this dangerous disease. He also organised a presentation of gratitude to army officers, doctors, nurses, cleaners, delivery men etc. who serve for us without thinking for themselves. This was done by a Clapping, striking platters with spoons etc.  by each and every citizen at the same time for 5 minutes.

General public health information
There’s currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease (COVID-19). You can protect yourself and help prevent spreading the virus to others if you:
Do’s
Regularly Wash your hands for  around 20 seconds, with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub
Cover your nose and mouth with a mask and flexed elbow when you cough or sneeze
Maintain a social distance of 1 meter or 3 feet with people who are unwell
Stay home and isolate yourself from others in the household

Don't
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth if you have not washed or sanitised your hands.

Lost sense of smell could also be a peculiar clue to COVID-19 infection
Seeing todays condition, we must take the precautions directed by the government and take a quarantine till prescribed date. Still some small vendors, shopkeepers etc. are not listening the media and considering money superior to and more important than life. They must realize that by doing so they are also putting their family’s life to danger or crisis. We must not panic or get frightened as humanity when united can fight against this dangerous pandemic with ease. Nothing I difficult if all are united and have same mindset. Take care of yourself and avoid public gatherings.

HOW DANGEROUS VIRUSES ARE?

Humans are fighting viruses since before human species had even evolved into its modernized form.

3D illustration of an influenza virus.

For a couple of viral diseases, vaccines and antiviral drugs have allowed us to remain infections from spreading widely, and have helped sick people recover. For one disease  smallpox  we've been able to eradicate it, ridding the earth of latest cases. But we're an extended way from winning the fight against viruses. In recent times, several viruses have shifted from animals to humans and riggeredserious outbreaks, effecting thousands of lives.

The viral strain that drove the 2014-2016 Ebola outbreaks in West Africa kills up to 90% of the people it infects, making it the foremost lethal member of the Ebola family. But there are other viruses out there that are equally deadly, and a couple of that are even deadlier. Severe viruses, such as the novel covid-19 currently driving outbreaks around the world, still pose a big threat to human health as we don't yet have the means to combat them. Viruses can infect every living thing -- from plants and animals right right down to the tiniest bacterium. It’s because of this reason; they have the potential to be dangerous to human life.

Ebola virus

The primary known Ebola outbreaks in humans struck simultaneously within the Republic of the Sudan and thus the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1976.by coming in contact with infected persons and animals.

Different  strains vary dramatically in their deadliness, according to Elke Muhlberger, an Ebola virus expert and professor of microbiology at Boston University, told Live Science. One strain, Ebola Reston, doesn't even make people sick. apart from the Bundibugyo strain, the death rate is up to 50%, and it's up to 71% for the Sudan strain, according to WHO. The outbreak  in West Africa began in 2014, and is the most severe and most complex outbreak of the disease so far , according to WHO.

HIV

An estimated 32 million people have died from HIV since the disease was first recognized within the first 1980s. "The disease that takes the foremost important toll on mankind immediately is HIV," Adalja said.
It was only possible for people to live for years with HIV because of Powerful and effective antiviral drugs. But the disease continues to devastate many low- and middle-income countries, where 95% of latest HIV infections occur.

It has been observed that approximately 1 out of 25 adults within the WHO African region is HIV-positive, affecting  for quite two-thirds of the people living with HIV worldwide.

Dengue

Dengue virus first appeared within the 1950s within the Philippines and Thailand, and has since spread throughout the tropical and subtropical regions of the planet. Up to 40% of the world's population now lives in areas where dengue is endemic, and thus the disease with the mosquitoes that carry it is perhaps getting to spread farther because the planet warms. Vaccination for Dengue was approved in 2019 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to be utilized in children 9-16 years old living in an areas where dengue is common .

Rotavirus

Vaccines are now available to protect children from rotavirus, the leading explanation for severe diarrheal illness among babies and young children.

This virus spreads rapidly, through the fecal-oral route (means that tiny particles of feces end up being consumed).Although children within the developed world rarely die from rotavirus infection, the disease could also be a killer within the developing world, where rehydration treatments aren't widely available.

SARS-CoV

The virus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS, first appeared in 2002 within the Guangdong of southern China, according to the WHO.

This virus was found to emerge in bats, and then jumped into nocturnal mammals called civets before  infecting humans. After triggering a plague in China, SARS spread to 26 countries around the world, infecting quite 8000 people and killing quite 770 over the course of two years. The disease causes fever, chills and body aches, and sometimes progresses to pneumonia, a severe condition during which the lungs become inflamed and fill with pus. SARS has an estimated deathrate of 9.6%, and as of yet, has no approved treatment or vaccine. However, no new cases of SARS are reported since the primary 2000s, according to the CDC.

SARS-CoV-2

SARS-CoV-2 belongs to the same large family of viruses as SARS-CoV, mentioned as coronaviruses, and was first identified in December 2019 within the Chinese city of Wuhan. The virus likely originated in bats, like SARS-CoV, and skilled an intermediate animal before infecting people. This virus has infected thousands of people in China and many others worldwide. As well as the continued outbreak resulted into quarantine of Wuhan and other nearby cities, restrictions on visit and from affected countries and a worldwide effort to develop diagnostics, treatments and vaccines.

https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/GV4esgKETADARGMrNVPX5Z-650-80.jpg
The disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, called COVID-19, has an estimated deathrate of about 2.3%. folks that are older or have underlying health conditions seem to be most in peril of getting severe disease or complications.

CONCLUSION

Unfortunately for humans, some viral infections outpace the system. Viruses can replicate more quickly than the system, which provides them a leg up in uninterrupted replication. and a couple of viruses, like HIV, work essentially by tricking the system . Viruses cause many diseases, including colds, measles, chicken pox, HPV, herpes, rabies, SARS and thus the flu. Though they're small, they pack a huge punch - which they will only sometimes be sent into exile.

Brilliant Teaching – A Thought inside the Box

There is a little-known phenomenon called ‘Campbell’s Law’. This law states that everybody knows what is getting used to amount progress.

We all are aware that test scores are important. And, because everyone knows it, student performance is subject to deformation. Rather than trying to work out a way to make time for music, creativity, joy fun and also the arts, teachers can become hyper-focused on boosting test scores. Head teachers feel the compression, this gets passed on to teachers and, in turn, the scholars are sweatshop farmed to induce high scores so everyone can the wrath of failure.
Campbell’s Law suggests we can expect shortcuts and cheating every step of the way. Understandably, teachers get caught during a cycle of,’How can we deliver the syllabus the fastest?’, ‘How can we revise the Best?’; ‘How can information be retained the longest?’; ‘How can we boost the scores?’

However, if we want  kids to experience a sense of wonder and discover new information on their own, If we want them to generate their own ideas and if we want them to derive their own perspective and conclusions after an interaction session, then maybe we are defining ‘success’ in a wrong way. When test scores become the purpose of the teaching process, they lose their ethics as barometer of educational status and fudge the educational process in undesirable ways.
If teachers want to demolish a child’s love of a topic, make it required for them to follow precise guidelines about what they have to know and what is immaterial. Make them learn it again and again. And then make this a practice that is to do again and again. Teachers should not answer extraneous questions which will steal time away from the ubiquitous syllabus. The result will be that too few subjects have time for captivate.
Most of the teachers feel restraint by the syllabus. Yes, it has to be covered, but not choked. Build in Imaginative and creative ways of engaging your learners and, as if by magic, they will continue to learn in their own time.
THIS IS BRILLIANT TEACHING!

Concept of Learning

Learning is a procedure that-produces changes in the conduct (behaviour) of the person. These conduct changes happen because of encounters (practice).
These changes can take any direction. These conduct changes are generally perpetual. This means that these changes are not completely permanent or are they altogether temporary or permanent. These conduct changes are called learning. An individual learns and establishes harmonious alteration with the earth. This is the genuine significance of learning.

As a rule, realizing something new is called learning. A baby is completely powerless at the hour of birth. He relies upon his folks for the satisfaction of his needs. As he grows up, his tangible forces start to create. He encounters numerous issues in his push to acclimate to the earth. He responds to these issues in various manners. In the process he picks up understanding. These encounters produce changes in his conduct. These progressions are generally perpetual. These conduct changes are called learning.
For example a child sees the light of a lamp for the first time. Out of curiosity he catches at the flame. He feels a burning sensation. As a result he withdraws his hand from the flame and does not repeat the act in future. It is a natural reaction to become curious on seeing the flame and catching at it. On the basis of this natural reaction the child gains experience that catching at a flame causes burn. The next time when he sees the light of the lamp, he does not react the way he did the first time. This behavioral change has occurred as a result of experiences. The child has learnt that catching at the flame causes burn therefore; learning means change in the behavior through experience.

Changes in the conduct of an individual lake place because of experiences. Experience here methods an occasion or movement that has influenced one here and there. It additionally implies the things that have transpired over some stretch of time that impacts the way one thinks and carries on. For instance social changes might be brought about by old sickness, yet this isn't called learning. Just the conduct changes that come about because of experience or practice are called learning.
The conduct changes that come about because of learning are moderately bearing; this implies that the progressions are not totally lasting. Nor they are transitory or passing. These progressions are found in the conduct for a moderately significant stretch.
These progressions are not as perpetual as won't clear a path for more changes; new changes in conduct can be concentrated by differentiating the conduct of the accomplished individual with that of the unpracticed individual. These behavioral changes may happen in any course meaning their impact might be certain or negative, Learning adds to one's proficiency.

Given Beneath are some meaning of discovering that makes its significance and idea clear:
According to A.T. Gates – 1946 – “Learning is the modification of behaviour through experience and training.”
Views of H.W. Bernard- 1952 – “Learning is the modification of behaviour through activity and experience which improves modes of adjustment.”
Views of kingsley, H.l. and Garry R- 1957- “Learning is a process by which behaviour is originated or changed through practice.”
Views of Pressy , Sidney, l- 1959- “ learning represents experiences that lead to a change or adjustment in performance and to the acquisitions of new ways of behaviour.”
